Job Summary
Coordinate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) from initiation through implementation, reviewing and validating approved changes to ensure accuracy and completeness. Implement engineering changes affecting products, components, bill of materials (BOMs), routing, specifications, and related manufacturing documentation while maintaining records in accordance with company procedures. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and the design team to communicate and execute changes effectively, monitor activities for timely implementation, and support new product development, testing coordination, and documentation control. Assist product designers in ensuring timely release of new products and enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or two years' equivalent work experience
- Extensive computer experience with knowledge of 2D and 3D design and visualization
- Background in project management with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with working with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics (D365)
- Knowledge of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), product data management, and bill of materials (BOM) structures
- Drafting and design background
- Must be able to read and interpret technical documents such as safety rules and assembly manuals
- Must be able to write installation instructions and parts lists for technical manuals
- Must be able to understand, follow and execute instructions accurately
- Must possess strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to analyze manufacturing and design challenges, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Must be proficient in using AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD software for design work, site plans/layouts and detailed part drawings
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Autodesk products (Inventor, AutoCAD)
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite
