Job Summary
Lead integration and development of Inverter and Generator systems for next-generation Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) applications. Define, manage, and deliver system-level requirements and interfaces between the inverter, generator, vehicle controls, and vehicle architecture teams while collaborating with Tier 1 suppliers and cross-functional engineering organizations. Manage product release CAD and BOM structures, including assembly positioning and mass attribute analysis, and facilitate supplier data integration. Perform feasibility analyses using CAD tools for draft angle, undercut detection, minimum bend radius validation, and clearance checks to support manufacturing and machining requirements. Utilize product check-in/check-out processes, version control, data release, and change management within Ford's PLM ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as an electrified propulsion systems engineer
- Strong technical expertise in Inverter systems
- Strong technical expertise in Power electronics
- Strong technical expertise in high-voltage integration
- Experience in supplier management
- Ability to manage product release CAD and BOM structures
- Ability to perform assembly positioning analysis
- Ability to perform mass attribute analysis
- Ability to facilitate supplier data integration
- Ability to develop CAD studies
- Understanding and ability to utilize product check-in/check-out processes
- Ability to utilize version control
- Ability to utilize data release processes
- Ability to utilize change management within Ford's PLM ecosystem
- Ability to perform feasibility analyses using CAD tools
