Job Summary
Product Development Engineer to lead mechanical design, development, and validation of mechanical assemblies and product systems from concept through launch. Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams; perform CAD modeling (Creo and/or SolidWorks), tolerance/fit analysis, and strength calculations; prototype, test, document designs; apply FMEA, DVP&R, and manufacturing process knowledge; lead design reviews and drive technical decisions; develop validation strategies with lab and field testing; estimate tasks and scope for customer engagements; contribute to internal tools and processes; support business development through technical input on proposals; mentor entry-level engineers; engage with customers and vendors on-site to provide technical leadership and build relationships; travel to local customer sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without restrictions or expirations
- Ability to travel to local customer sites is essential; occasional domestic travel
