Job Summary
Product Development Engineer responsible for concept generation, design, verification and qualification of High Speed IO products (112Gb signaling and beyond). Responsible for manufacturability and meeting customer requirements across electrical, mechanical, and environmental aspects. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and beta-site customers; leads design reviews; develops product, application, and packaging specifications; defines verification and product qualification test plans; supports transition to manufacturing; travels domestically and internationally up to 25%. Proficiency with Solid Works, FEA (ANSYS), GD&T, and statistical engineering methods; experience in cable assemblies/IO connector systems; ability to present concepts to customers and interface with marketing, sales, and process engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical discipline or equivalent engineering coursework
- 1-3 years experience in high speed cable assembly and/or connector design preferred
- Knowledge of signal integrity performance and GD&T
- Experience with SolidWorks, FEA (ANSYS preferred), GD&T, and Statistical Engineering methods
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate with global customers
- Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
