Job Summary
Hands-on Product Development Chemist responsible for turning technical ideas into market-ready soldering, brazing, and paste products. You will formulate and enhance alloys, fluxes, and chemical binders, drive product improvements, and lead scale-up activities from development through manufacturing in a collaborative, cross-functional setting. Key duties include modifying formulations to address customer challenges, innovating new pastes and materials, leading lab-to-plant transitions, collaborating with Quality, Technical Services, Sales, and customers, participating in continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining core systems (BOMs, routers, IP Formulation database) while adhering to ISO 9001 standards. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 3+ years in a product development environment, strong analytical and communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a closely related field
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a product development lab or technical role (experience with alloys, fluxes, pastes, or brazing/soldering materials is highly preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound, data-driven decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills — comfortable collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
