Job Summary

Product Development Associate responsible for quoting and onboarding new contract cut and sew and RF welding customers; develops bill of materials, product specifications, work instructions, and standardized manufacturing processes; serves as primary contact during product development and communicates with customers through quoting, development, sampling, and production readiness; conducts preliminary cost analyses using pricing targets, labor, materials, and manufacturing requirements; builds and evaluates prototypes, collects cycle-time data, and assesses manufacturability, quality, efficiency, and cost; coordinates New Product Introduction activities and transfers product requirements and documentation to production; contributes to training for new products and processes; manages multiple projects with timelines and customer expectations; generates CAD drawings and documentation; supports adoption of new technologies, materials, equipment, and manufacturing capabilities; maintains records, timelines, and documentation; collaborates across Ops, Quality, Supply Chain, and Business Development; engages in continuous improvement for design, manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost reduction; compensation listed as $60,000-$72,000 annually; benefits include health/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, PTO and holidays, tuition assistance, and more; promotes equal opportunity and compliance with E-Verify; location: Blaine, MN, USA.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Product Development, Textile Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • 2 years of soft goods production design and/or manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of textile materials, sewing construction methods, and manufacturing processes used in the development and production of soft goods and sewn products.
  • Working knowledge of CAD, pattern design, or technical drawing software.
