Product Development and Design Engineer

Product Design Engineer (in-person) in Owatonna, MN. You will design products and improve existing ones, turning concepts into manufacturable solutions, create CAD models and renders, define colors, materials and manufacturing processes, assess cost and vendor constraints, generate technical drawings and BOMs, review samples, troubleshoot quality issues, and develop engineered solutions for parts connections, tolerancing and manufacturing methods to ensure reliable assembly and production. Responsibilities include creating manufacturable designs, providing design options, moving projects through design stages, researching patents in concept phase, and collaborating with internal or external stakeholders to support prototyping, testing, and production readiness.
