Job Summary
Create innovative, heritage-inspired food that is dietarily inclusive while championing flavor, texture, and clean labels across product lines. Support the formulation process from start to finish, including research, planning, development, and refinement, while working cross-functionally with operational teams and co-manufacturing partners. Develop bench-top samples, test ingredient sourcing, and set production processes to maximize shelf life and overcome technical roadblocks. Contribute culinary expertise to guide new product development and renovations, ensuring scalability without compromising quality. Travel approximately 25% of the time to support supplier relations and plant trials.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a chef or product developer/food technologist in a professional capacity
- Travel approximately 25% of the time to support supplier and co-manufacturing relations, plant trials, and provide on-site support as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with Excel or Google Docs
- Previous experience with food labeling software such as Genesis
