Job Summary
Design products that are simple yet great for the user, focusing on interaction, understanding, and visual design by developing storyboards, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate ideas. Work closely with engineers and product managers to play an active role in the feedback and iteration cycle, ensuring the design vision is executed correctly through strong relationships and design reviews. Balance user needs against business objectives while taking on feedback to articulate stakeholder business needs into quickly implemented changes. Track a substantial project where UX work resulted in demonstrable increases in user retention or acquisition.
Required Qualifications
- Track-record of designing a substantial project where your UX work has resulted in a demonstrable increase in user retention or acquisition
- Understanding and experience with User Centred Design Methodologies (UCD)
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups, taking on feedback and helping them articulate their business needs into changes that can be quickly implemented
- Balancing user needs against business objectives and constraints
- Ensure that the design vision is executed correctly during the development process by building strong relationships with the engineering team for design reviews
- Excellent communication skills with fluent spoken and written English
Desired Qualifications
- Interest in emerging technologies in web, mobile, wearables, automotive and other devices
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and other web application technologies
- Experience designing for a global audience in multiple languages
- Familiarity of the agile software development process
- Like maps and location based services
