Job Summary
Architect the token architecture, component structure, and theming model to ensure the design system flexes across products without forking. Establish governance standards, documentation, and contribution models to maintain system coherence as more designers and engineers engage. Partner deeply with frontend engineers to ensure faithful implementation and catch drift between design and build. Elevate visual and interaction craft, including motion and micro-interaction detail, to every component so the system feels intentional. Drive adoption by building artifacts and documentation that get the system used first by designers, engineers, and marketers. Define the clear, trusted foundation for how the team designs and builds in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications

- exceptional eye and hand for typography, color, spacing, and detail
- real motion craft
- strong product design judgment
- 6+ years of experience
- solid UX judgment
- understanding of user flows, interaction patterns, and product tradeoffs
- experience building and governing design systems at scale
- ability to point to a system you've architected and evolved
- ability to produce something distinct that hasn't been seen before
- ability to articulate why a decision is correct
- ability to push back on your own instincts
