Job Summary
Product Designer for Thermo Fisher Scientific One Lambda software portfolio. Drive user-centered design across application-level experiences (HLA typing, antibody analysis tools) and platform-level systems (lab data management, interoperability, and workflow orchestration) for highly specialized users (lab technicians, clinicians, transplant coordinators) in regulated environments. Design for highly data-intensive workflows, translate complex immunogenetics concepts into usable interfaces, create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs, and improve interoperability and data flow between applications. Conduct contextual inquiry and usability testing in partnership with product managers and engineers; contribute to design systems and cross-product experiences; support agile development with clear design specs. Requirements include 3–7+ years of UX design experience in healthcare/life sciences or enterprise software, strong interaction design and information architecture, proficiency with Figma/Sketch, and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams. Preferred experience with laboratory software, healthcare diagnostics, or scientific tools; familiarity with regulated environments (FDA, IVD, GxP); experience in data visualization and scientific workflows; background in platform or systems design; emphasize AI-assisted analysis UX and workflow automation/decision support UX.
Required Qualifications
- 3–7+ years UX design experience (healthcare, life sciences, or enterprise software preferred)
- Experience designing complex, data-heavy applications
- Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch, etc.) and prototyping
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in technical environments
- Preferred: Experience with laboratory software, healthcare diagnostics, or scientific tools
- Familiarity with regulated environments (e.g., FDA, IVD, GxP)
- Experience designing for data visualization and scientific workflows
- Background in platform or systems design (design systems, multi-product ecosystems)
- Emphasize AI-assisted analysis UX
