Job Summary
Lead, mentor, and manage the crusher-wear-parts design team in North America, overseeing designers, drafters, and external engineering resources. Drive design and reverse-engineering initiatives for crusher wear parts using advanced 3D CAD modeling and manufacturing drawings, leveraging field data to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime. Collaborate with product managers, account managers, and cross-functional teams to translate operational challenges into robust technical solutions; ensure adherence to design-management processes, ECO procedures, and design standards; manage project priorities, schedules, and resource allocation; promote best practices in engineering design, drafting standards, and product development. Travel to customer and mine sites as needed to support crusher chamber optimization and performance improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 10 years of mechanical design experience
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and managing engineering projects
- Advanced proficiency with CAD and Product Data Management (PDM) systems
- Extensive experience with Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault Professional
- Strong understanding of ASME Y14.5-2009 and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Willingness to travel to customer and mine sites as needed
