Job Summary
Manage and mentor a team of designers to create human-centered user journeys for complex HR processes, guiding them from initial research through concept iteration to product launch. Collaborate with product managers and the Director of Product Design to align on quality, training, and professional development while coordinating staffing needs. Define, test, and iterate on interaction design for new features, including AI-assisted experiences, by conducting user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis. Experiment with AI tools to accelerate discovery, ideation, and prototyping, ensuring intelligent experiences are transparent and trustworthy. Lead projects from planning and execution to delivery, presenting design ideas to stakeholders and communicating research results to drive decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record of designing successful SaaS-based software products and features from scratch
- 6+ years of product based UX design experience working on complex desktop, web, and/or mobile software apps
- 2+ years of managing or mentoring other designers
- Experience mentoring and growing individual contributors
- Portfolio of work demonstrating a high level of expertise in user research, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping/testing, and visual UI design
- Experience exploring or shipping AI-assisted features
- Demonstrates strong curiosity and judgment in applying emerging technologies to real customer problems
- Experience designing complex data visualization, reporting, or analytics solutions
- Ability to collaborate with a team of product managers, designers, and developers
- Ability to keep projects on track and progressing despite setbacks and unforeseen issues
- Experience presenting ideas and designs to coworkers and customers
- Ability to distill and communicate results of user research and demonstrate how it impacts the design
- Experience incorporating AI into the design process and evaluating new tools or workflows to improve efficiency
- Examples of how you've explored or delivered AI-enabled product experiences that create real value for customers
- Experience managing or mentoring others
- Regular in-office days each week
