Product Design Engineer

Job Summary
Design and develop HVAC equipment from concept through industrialization for Trane Technologies, collaborating with Production, Methods, Quality, Laboratory, IT, Purchasing, Sales & After-Sales, and international teams. Responsibilities include verifying product performance in the lab, collecting data and drawing initial conclusions, designing and evolving products and technical subsystems, selecting components and defining suitable technical solutions, analyzing technical risks, drafting engineering specifications, defining qualification plans, and contributing to innovation and continuous improvement. Requires an engineer degree, knowledge of HVAC products, NPD process, ability to analyze needs and validate concepts, and technical English; VBA or C++ skills are a plus. The role involves regular interaction with internal teams and external suppliers and may evolve with the business; on-site presence in Charmes, France (5 days onsite). Required Qualifications
- Formation ingénieur ou équivalent
- Bonne connaissance des produits HVAC et de leurs principaux composants
- Connaissance du processus NPD (New Product Development)
- Capacité à analyser un besoin, proposer des concepts techniques et construire un plan de validation
- Maîtrise de l’anglais technique, à l’écrit et à l’oral
- Compétences en programmation, notamment en VBA ou C++, sont un plus
