Job Summary
Product Design Engineer responsible for taking concepts from concept to completion in RV industry, hands-on prototyping and assembly, and developing sheet metal, extruded, and injected molded components. Collaborates across Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Scheduling, Marketing, Sales, and Accounting to balance market, operations, manufacturing, and cost targets. Requires proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD; experience with ERP systems, routings/BOMs, and cost estimating; willingness to work on the manufacturing floor; strong attention to detail, self-starter mindset, and effective communication. Emphasis on designing production fixtures/tools, reducing cost, solving problems, and delivering quick turnarounds from concept to finished product. Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment; experience with suppliers and long lead-time components and a hands-on approach to prototyping and fixture development.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: AutoCAD 2 years (Required)
- ERP systems: 2 years (Required)
- Automotive engineering: 2 years (Preferred)
- Minimum 3 year experience working in a manufacturing environment
