Product Design Engineer

Job Summary
Design mill liner components using 3D CAD software and prepare manufacturing drawings. Analyze worn components using field measurements, point cloud scans, and reverse engineering techniques. Develop engineering solutions that improve wear life, performance, and reliability. Collaborate with customers, Product Managers, Sales, and Engineering teams to understand application requirements. Support product development projects from concept through implementation. Evaluate field performance data and recommend product improvements. Prepare technical reports and engineering documentation. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical design or product development experience
- Experience using CAD software
- Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to travel to customer sites
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial manufacturing
- Experience with mill liner or wear component design
- Autodesk Inventor experience
- Vault experience
- Experience with point cloud scanning or reverse engineering technologies
- Understanding of metallurgy and wear materials
- Spanish language skills
