Job Summary
Design and implement new products, variations, and enhancements using CAD, statistical analysis, and user feedback. Connect design decisions to consumer needs through Product Management collaboration and test products to understand the consumer experience beyond documented requirements. Coordinate construction of testing fixtures, create project documentation, and address non-conforming materials while collaborating with factories and Quality Control to meet cost, quality, and schedule targets. Identify patentable design features and utilize methodical problem-solving methods to present root-cause solutions. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required with two years of mechanical design experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency in modeling and drafting
- Understand numerous engineering tools, statistical tolerance, stack-up, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize advanced statistics in problem solving
- Creative and critical thinking skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to collaborate with multiple teams
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to design and redesign products
- Problem solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Desired Qualifications
