Job Summary
Entry-level Product Design Engineer to support the design and development of modular, prefabricated equipment for mission-critical data-center facilities. You’ll work under senior engineers to create integrated solutions (e.g., hot aisle containment), focusing on manufacturability, coordination across Engineering and Manufacturing, and documentation. The role involves learning data center systems (structural frames, mechanical cooling, electrical distribution, and technology infrastructure), participating in prototyping and validation, and collaborating with suppliers and clients. Based in Wilsonville, OR or Salt Lake City, UT with occasional travel to jobsites, facilities, and client locations. Mentorship and hands-on training are provided, and a path from design to DFx and value engineering is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related engineering field
- Experience: 0–1 years of experience. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; internship, co-op, or academic project work in product or mechanical design is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Exposure to or coursework in Inventor, SolidWorks, or other 3D design software. Willingness to learn Revit and Bluebeam Revu. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
- A foundational understanding of engineering and design principles, with a strong willingness to learn and take direction.
