Job Summary
Conduct CAD modeling, drawing creation, and engineering releases for assigned components of consumer and network charging products. Perform tolerance analyses, DFM reviews, and GD&T in coordination with contract manufacturers. Support FEA and structural analyses to de-risk design decisions, then coordinate lab builds, prototype inspections, and first-article reviews. Track open engineering issues in Jira and prepare documentation at program milestones. Support UL and regulatory compliance activities, including test preparation and certification tracking. Escalate design issues, supplier delays, and sprint progress risks with clear context and proposed options.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or a closely related field
- 3–6 years of experience in consumer or industrial hardware product development
- demonstrated track record of owning and delivering mechanical designs from concept through production
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (CATIA V6 / ENOVIA)
- 2D drawing creation including GD&T
- Working knowledge of injection molding, sheet metal, and electromechanical assembly processes
- exposure to die casting and potting
- Experience supporting or coordinating design validation and certification testing (UL, ETL, or similar)
- Familiarity with Jira or similar sprint-based engineering tracking tools
- Ability to manage your own workload and deliverables in a fast-moving program environment
- presence of mind to escalate when blocked
Desired Qualifications
- CATIA V6 / ENOVIA strongly preferred
- exposure to die casting and potting a plus
- Experience supporting or coordinating design validation and certification testing (UL, ETL, or similar) is a meaningful advantage
- Familiarity with Jira or similar sprint-based engineering tracking tools is a plus
