Job Summary
Product Development Engineer responsible for conceptual product design and development within Boyd’s multi-disciplinary product development program. Works with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Sales, and customers to define scope, pricing, and timelines; drafts product development proposals; designs production files using SolidWorks; conducts R&D on materials and processes; tests and identifies new materials; collaborates with vendors to meet specifications and schedules; documents ECNs, BOMs, and routing in Business Central; communicates engineering insights to sales and customers and supports QA through documentation and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Bachelor’s in Engineering (or equivalent product development experience)
- CAD design experience
- PROFESSIONAL experience with SolidWorks and CAD design
- CAM experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to use manufacturing equipment (3D printers, CNC, etc.)
- Effective written and verbal communication in English
- Ability to plan, organize, and work under time constraints
- Team-oriented and able to follow directions
