Job Summary
Analyze product usage data in Amp to measure feature adoption, workflow completion, and drop-off points, feeding insights directly into the product roadmap. Build operational dashboards tracking throughput, quality, cycle time, and cost while partnering with sales, manufacturing, and engineering to surface team-specific metrics. Own top-line reporting for investor updates and board decks, defining precise metrics and validating data quality to ensure trustworthy analyses. Prototype and codify dashboards with real users, then advocate for closing gaps in product instrumentation and operational data capture.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in a data analyst / analytics role
- ideally spanning both product analytics and operational/business reporting
- Strong SQL
- hands-on experience building dashboards
- Experience with product analytics — analyzing usage in a tool like PostHog, Amplitude, or Mixpanel
- Analytical rigor — you can define a metric precisely, reason about data quality, and know when a number is trustworthy and when it isn't
- Strong systems thinking; reasoning through multi-step processes and upstream/downstream data dependencies
- A proven ability to distill ambiguous problems into structured analyses and communicate the 'so what' clearly to both operators and leadership
- Experience turning messy data into clean, executive-ready metrics
- Demonstrated ownership and proactive drive in a lean, fast-paced environment
- Comfort discussing data flows and technical tradeoffs with engineers
- This is an onsite role at our headquarters in Redondo Beach, CA or Cypress, CA
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with manufacturing or adjacent operational domains (MES, ERP, inventory, factory software)
- Exposure to early-stage or 0→1 environments
- A technical or quantitative academic background — Data Analytics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
