Job Summary
Advise Product and Engineering teams across the entire product lifecycle from early design through launch, proactively identifying and addressing legal risk. Draft and maintain user-facing legal documents, implement privacy-by-design principles, and lead privacy assessments for new features, including those powered by AI. Provide practical guidance on HIPAA/HITECH and state privacy laws, advise on data-sharing and vendor integrations, and partner with Marketing on advertising and consumer protection matters. Collaborate cross-functionally with Security, Compliance, Operations, and Finance while knowing when to escalate issues to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- JD
- active bar membership
- 3–6 years of experience counseling product and engineering teams on privacy and technology matters
- strong foundation in healthcare privacy and data protection
- Experience with AI/ML
- intellectual property

- excellent communication skills
- sound judgment in balancing risk and business velocity
