Job Summary
Product Cost Specialist – Switchgear responsible for supporting the SWGR Cost Manager to hit product cost targets through collaboration with Engineering, Procurement, and Operations. Drives cost reduction, provides clear understanding of product costs and cost elements (material and manufacturing), supports cost reporting and variance analysis, and coordinates VAVE initiatives across cross-functional teams. Will develop dashboards and visual summaries of cost data, assist in NPDI lifecycle cost control, and support price realization activities. Requires ability to communicate findings to stakeholders, build cost improvement metrics, and operate within a cross-functional environment including Region Strategy, Order Engineering, R&D, Procurement, Operations, and Finance. Preferred BS in Engineering/General Management with experience in product engineering, manufacturing, and data reporting; proficiency with Excel, Smartsheet, Power BI; Oracle knowledge is a plus; willingness to learn and drive continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering or General Management preferred, equivalent experience in product engineering and manufacturing. Financial experience in the greater NEMA Electrical Manufacturing space.
