Job Summary
Product Cost Controller at TRATON GROUP (Powertrain) based in Munich. Responsibilities include deriving top-down product cost targets during early development, implementing cross-functional cost-optimizing measures to achieve profitability, performing product cost calculations across the lifecycle, and consolidating results for cross-functional committees. Collaboration with group brands and R&D entities, presenting data to stakeholders, and driving cost visibility through cost views and deviation analysis. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration or industrial engineering, 3-5 years in product cost controlling or related areas (purchasing, R&D, project management, strategy), strong analytical skills, team-oriented and communicative work style, and fluency in English (German or Swedish a plus). Optional: flexibility for remote work within the EU and collaboration across brands; awareness of collective bargaining benefits and development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration or industrial engineering or related field
- A minimum of 3-5 years working experience in product cost controlling of hardware products or related functions (purchasing, R&D, project management or strategy)
- Strong analytical mind and high sense of quality and responsibility
- Team player with interactive, communicative, and structured working style
- Fluent in English; German or Swedish as a strong plus
