Job Summary
Support cross-functional teams in product development by creating briefs, tracking prototypes, and maintaining accurate product data in management systems. Conduct category research, competitive scans, and trend analysis while gathering athlete and consumer feedback to inform product decisions. Manage timelines, coordinate sample requests, and prepare presentations for line reviews and product updates. Collaborate with Marketing and Sales on launch materials, assortment tools, and account support assets. Assist in reviewing packaging copy and instructions for accuracy. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sports who will work with Design, R&D, and Sourcing teams to bring high-performance products from concept to market.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Product Design, or a related field
- 0–2 years of experience in product management, merchandising, marketing, or relevant internships (sporting goods/outdoor preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with data and basic analytics
- Effective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Passion for sports, fitness, and innovative athletic equipment
- Have experience with baseball or basketball products, with a strong understanding of the sporting goods industry
- Demonstrates knowledge of product development, athlete needs, and market trends within team sports
- Ability to be in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access fine cabinets, office machinery (such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, etc.)
- Constantly operate a computer
- Occasionally ascend/descend stairs
- Constantly position self to maintain files in file cabinets
- Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
- Ability to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
- Frequently move boxes weighing up to 15 pounds across office for various needs
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions if projects/opportunities arise
