Job Summary
Senior Product Controller role focused on overseeing Balance Sheet and Capital, overseeing transaction-cycle controls, and advising on deal-specific accounting for the North America Credit Trading & Syndicate and Public Finance units. Responsibilities include ensuring integrity of financial statements and management reporting, interpreting developments in financial reporting and regulatory capital framework (Basel III/IV, RWA), revenue recognition on bifurcated deals, external financial reporting, coordination with Legal Entity Controllers, and participation in regulatory and NBIA processes. Requires deep product knowledge in Fixed Income and strong capabilities in Excel/Alteryx, with focus on accounting controls, valuation, and compliance with SOX and other regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Alteryx
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, including Fair Value Measurement (FVM), Fair Value Option (FVO), and loan accounting (recognition, measurement, impairment)
- Fixed Income product knowledge, such as bonds, mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, and interest rate swaps
- Knowledge of capital concepts and Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA), including regulatory requirements and calculation methodologies
- Excellent relationship-building skills; comfortable interacting with business contacts and working in teams
- Ability to summarize complex information and present it at the executive level
- Capacity to understand and support business strategy in a growth environment
- Strong teamwork, coachability, and ability to take direction and deliver results with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Authorized to work in the United States (no immigration sponsorship)
