Job Summary
Product Control Associate supporting daily P&L and NAV production and commentary for Apollo Asset Backed Finance strategies. Responsibilities include reconciling daily P&L (interest accrual, OID, PIK, unrealized/realized G/L, FX, carry, fee drag) and drafting senior-stakeholder-ready P&L explanations; daily NAV review with administrators, resolving price, accrual, and position-level breaks; challenging stale or model-driven marks with Pricing teams; supporting fund operations such as month-end capital account reconciliations and management-fee accruals; acting as PC point of contact for Ops, Risk, Finance, and Front Office; maintaining control documentation for price overrides and P&L adjustments; leading same-day P&L reviews and post-mortems for restructuring events; building templates and expanding funds, coordinating with Front Office, Operations, and IT; driving automation and AI-enabled processes using Excel, Python, and data tools; collaborating with offshore teams and ensuring onshore accountability; required experience with credit instruments across private/structured credit and syndicated markets; CPA/CFA/CAIA preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years in product control, fund control, or financial reporting at an asset manager, bank, or fund administrator
- Experience with credit instruments across private credit, structured credit, or broadly syndicated markets - e.g. loans, bonds, ABS, CLOs, or similar
- Proven ability to draft clear, concise P&L commentary for PM and senior stakeholder audiences
- Comfortable managing multiple funds and workstreams simultaneously under daily publishing deadlines
- Experience working with or managing offshore teams - ability to review, challenge, and take onshore ownership of offshore-produced outputs
- Exposure to daily NAV or willingness to build toward it in a fund transitioning from periodic to daily cadence
- Strong Excel; familiarity with data automation tools a meaningful plus
- CPA, CFA, or CAIA in progress or completed preferred
