Job Summary
Assemble, repair, inspect and/or test medical device products following written instructions in English; read and comprehend basic documents. Collaborate with engineers on process modifications and suggest improvement opportunities. Set up and operate manufacturing machines/equipment per English instructions. Clean tools and equipment, record information on approved documents, and dispose of hazardous waste in designated areas. Resolve problems, make routine recommendations, and train other employees when necessary. Maintain certifications required for compliance and be prepared to work overtime; role requires standing or sitting for extended periods in an onsite office/layout five days per week. Preferred experience includes lean manufacturing, soldering, use of hand/power tools, experience with catheters and cleanroom environments, and pre-production experience; previous medical device experience is valued but not required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years to less than 5 years of work experience in manufacturing and/or assembly
- Ability to use and adjust a microscope
- Ability to work with small parts for an extended period of time
- Proficiency in communication and understanding of English, including reading work instructions
