Job Summary
Based in Shenzhen, Italic is seeking a Product Assistant to support product development from initial brief through sampling, revisions, production, and launch. The role involves communicating with factories and vendors on samples, specs, pricing, timelines, packaging, and production updates; maintaining product specifications, cost sheets, launch trackers, purchase order details, and supplier records; reviewing samples against briefs and quality standards; supporting inventory analysis, demand planning, reorder recommendations, and stockout/overstock tracking; and coordinating with merchandising, operations, logistics, and creative teams to keep launches on track. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, robust spreadsheet skills, clear written communication, and the ability to manage multiple product or project progress streams, with knowledge of product development, production timelines, ecommerce operations, or inventory planning. Helpful but not required: experience with ecommerce or consumer products; Mandarin and English communication; familiarity with Shopify, Google Sheets, Airtable, Notion, ERP/WMS, or inventory planning systems.

- Based in Shenzhen and able to work closely with factories and suppliers
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfortable communicating with factories, suppliers, or external vendors
- Strong spreadsheet skills and comfort working with product, inventory, and sales data
- Clear written communication and ability to keep multiple workstreams organized
- Practical understanding of product development, production timelines, ecommerce operations, or inventory planning
- Able to turn messy inputs into clean trackers, summaries, and action items
