Job Summary
Lead a team of software engineers delivering custom application development for Columbia Bank customers while establishing technical leadership on engineering best practices. Drive continuous process improvement, manage resources through performance feedback, and coordinate with business and technology stakeholders to prioritize needs. Coach and develop staff through training, annual reviews, and recruitment, ensuring compliance with bank regulations including Bank Secrecy Act and Regulation CC. Maintain proficiency in the Microsoft technology stack, agile methodologies, and SDLC facets while removing roadblocks to empower the team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and corporate alignment, with opportunities for subject matter expertise and mentorship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in software development
- 4-7 years of experience in leadership/management role with responsibility of hiring and performance management
- Experience in all facets of the SDLC for software development projects
- Ability to collaborate with business and technology stakeholders across the organization to align on priorities
- Experience with Microsoft technology stack
- web and mobile development
- web services design and implementation
- HTML5
- CSS3
- JavaScript frameworks (Ember/NodeJS)
- Demonstrated experience with building and developing high-performance teams
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban/ScrumBan)
- Experience leading software developers through design and development of custom applications
