Job Summary
Conceive, design, fabricate, assemble, operate, and maintain bench-top setups to test onsemi parts for real-life applications. Develop electro-mechanical hardware, teststand control software, and interfaces between digital controllers and the test apparatus while working with high accuracy instrumentation. Manage laboratory equipment calibration, ensure good housekeeping, maintain supply stock, identify equipment needs, enforce safe operating procedures, and help maintain ISO certification. This role supports the Automotive Power Solutions group in developing state-of-the-art silicon and silicon-carbide power electronic systems for vehicle electrification.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with high accuracy instrumentation in a power laboratory
- Experience developing 3D CAD modeling
- Experience with computer simulation
- Ability to develop electro-mechanical hardware
- Ability to develop teststand control software
- Ability to create interfaces between digital controllers and the test apparatus
- Ability to manage the calibration of laboratory equipment
- Ability to ensure good housekeeping
- Ability to maintain supply stock
- Ability to identify equipment needs
- Ability to abide by and enforce safe operating procedures
- Ability to help maintain ISO certification
