Job Summary
Product and Manufacturing Engineer responsible for TDP review and gap analysis, obsolescence resolution, vendor coordination, and end-to-end lifecycle support for aerospace/defense products. Responsibilities include evaluating engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturability, researching substitute parts, managing documentation (drawings, BOMs, assembly instructions), applying engineering judgment to design/process changes, supporting change management (ECRs/ECOs), and assisting production with technical questions and non-conformances. Requires CAD proficiency (SolidWorks preferred), experience with IPC/SAE standards, knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100, exposure to CCA/PCB packaging, and familiarity with ERP systems; travel limited to support supplier and customer visits.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering
- 3–8 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing, MRO, or product development environment
- Experience with Military Specifications, ISO9001, AS9100 and other aerospace/defense standards
- Familiarity with IPC, SAE, and other industry standards
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, Epicor)
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and GD&T
- Ability to read and produce detail drawings, BOMs, and assembly drawings
- Limited travel required
