Job Summary
Chemical Pulping Product & Application Manager role responsible for driving product/application development, customer support, and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities include quotation and technical proposal operations, contract dealings with MSMs and Legal, proactive customer engagement, cross-BU/BA coordination to improve lead times and cost, collaborating with global counterparts to enhance competitiveness, maintaining IPP parts with logistics, liaising with global technology teams, developing CPU rebuilds/upgrades, and overseeing CAP-WHL business with Global supply to achieve cost reduction. Requires fluency in Mandarin and English; a B.Sc. in Pulp and Paper; ability to work independently in a matrix environment; willingness to travel; 5+ years in chemical pulping; strong customer-value orientation and coaching capability. Values alignment with Valmet leadership principles: accountability, courage, trust, collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. degree in Pulp and Paper education from a university
- Fluent in Mandarin and English
- Willing and capable to travel frequently
- 5 years’ work experience or more in Chemical pulping
- Good in technical, can handle the responsible area relative independently
- Know network and efficiently use internal resources
- Willingness to coach junior employee
