Job Summary
Develop and revise product rate/rule manuals, policy coverage forms, and the Forms Matrix for filings with the State Office of Insurance Regulation. Perform competitive analysis of primary competitors' rates, rules, and forms, including territory-based market basket analysis. Support Pricing, Reserving, and Reinsurance areas by extracting, validating, and analyzing data from the data warehouse to report on loss trends, cancellations, and retention. Research statutory changes, negotiate form filings, and process business requirements while identifying and resolving rating discrepancies. Independently support new products and features using established quality control procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.)
- Three (3) to five (5) or more years of product management experience working in Property Casualty field
- Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations, technical procedures, insurance business periodicals/circulars, and professional journals
- Ability to analyze data and develop strategic recommendations
- Strong organizational skills, including time management
- Experience in group presentations and project management
- Demonstrated skills or past achievement to obtain desired results
- Proven knowledge of insurance concepts, insurance contract interpretation & layout, principles and practices
- Strong computer spreadsheet and database skills: COGNOS, Access, and SQL
- Excellent Excel skills
- Demonstrated ability to learn additional software applications as required
- Ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise, organized and diplomatic manner
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for periods of time while constantly operating a computer and or other office productivity machinery such as a calculator or telephone
- Schedule: 8:30am - 5:30pm Monday through Friday
- This role is in-office
