Job Summary
Produce feature content for CNN’s platforms across digital, TV, and social, including long and short-form articles, stand-out digital content (interactives, image galleries, videos, photo essays, infographics, social content, opinion pieces), and sponsorship-driven campaigns; conceive story treatments across platforms, collaborate with regional bureaus and other producers, and work with on-air talent and editors to craft editorial features that meet CNN’s standards; organize production logistics and schedules, coordinate with camera operators and editors, and ensure adherence to editorial processes and Ofcom guidelines; contribute to sponsorship KPIs and CNN audience growth targets; report to the Executive Producer, assist with budgets and goals for each sponsored campaign, and partner with Concept Development to ideate new sponsorship series proposals; this role involves extensive travel and a strong emphasis on storytelling for global audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record of creating engaging content (written, video, social) that drives traffic
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Experience using social media as a publishing and audience engagement tool
- Comfort with news and feature production; understanding the difference between them
- Strong communicator and collaborator
- Strong editorial judgment
- Deep understanding of multiple platforms and devices
- Good understanding of current affairs
- Must follow S&P and Ofcom compliance guidelines
- Well organized, efficient, able to multi-task booking, logistics, and research
- Positive, self-starting attitude
