Job Summary
Develop original story ideas and translate them into engaging visual narratives, including creating new and ongoing digital series for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Conduct thorough pre-production planning, reporting, scripting, and logistics, then produce shoots in the field or studio while directing crew and talent. Edit or supervise video content to ensure strong storytelling and visual cohesion, collaborating with reporters and editors to deliver high-quality output. Troubleshoot production challenges and provide solutions that meet deadlines. This role suits a storyteller with extensive video journalism experience at a major news organization, working within CNN's global digital revolution.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive video journalism experience at a major news organisation or production company
- Experience producing content across topics such as music, culture, lifestyle, travel, science and/or entertainment
- Proficiency in story development and pre-production, including scripting, storyboarding and interview planning
- Experience producing digital-first, social or multi-platform video content with a strong sense of visual style
- Proficiency in editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere)
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
