Job Summary
Respond to and resolve producer commission questions, problems, and inquiries while acting as a liaison between accounting, membership accounting, and the producer community. Manage the Agent Database application, process appointment contracts, and track Medicare Advantage tests and required documentation. Issue and receive contracts, complete book of business transfers, and perform monthly verification processes for agents, including checking OIG and SAM websites for eligibility. Assist with planning and execution of sales events such as roadshows and webinars, and gather requirements for new projects. Review and route voicemails and emails, and perform other duties as assigned. This FT WFH role requires a valid driver's license, ability to travel overnight, and physical capacity to handle pushcarts and lift up to 40 lbs. Applicants need a college degree or equivalent experience in health insurance, benefits, or sales, along with strong communication skills. Candidates must be self-motivated, work independently with little supervision, and be available for evenings and occasional weekends to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent of 3 years in health insurance and/or employee benefits/administration field and/or sales and account management experience
- Strong sales and presentation skills
- Consultative approach to developing a long-term relationship with brokers and customers
- Knowledge of Medical and Dental insurance business as it relates to contracts, state, and federal law
- Knowledge of systems regarding enrollment and eligibility, processing of claims, handling of billings, customer service, and related information
- Knowledge of competitive landscape, market position and plan differentiators
- Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals and Producers related to the provision of services designed to retain existing membership and sell new business
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Presents a positive and professional image in the communities we serve
- Maintain a valid driver's license
- Ability to travel on business and overnight as needed
- Ability to be a self-motivator and work independently with little supervision
- Ability to come in to work on time and daily
- Ability to handle a pushcart/hand truck and ability to lift boxes up to 40 lbs. in and out the trunk of a car
- Work in excess of standard workweek, including evenings and occasional weekends, to meet business need
