Job Summary
Vice President of Employee Health & Benefits responsible for driving high-quality new business growth within Marsh McLennan Agency's employee benefits practice. Identify and engage key decision-makers (HR leaders, CFOs, CEOs); initiate contact through in-person meetings, calls, and emails; qualify and pursue opportunities using Salesforce for prospecting; build and nurture a profitable book of business while meeting/exceeding sales targets. Collaborate with MMA colleagues to tailor and market solutions, expand relationships through events, and deliver effective outreach and entertainment opportunities to key prospects. Demonstrate deep knowledge of MMA's employee health & benefits offerings, and professionally represent the firm to clients and prospects. This role has the ability to work out of MMA's Michigan offices in Grand Rapids, Livonia, or Troy with hybrid work arrangements; travel to client sites and events as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- P&C and/or Life & Health insurance license required
- Salesforce experience preferred
- Demonstrated sales success and ability to develop profitable book of business
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn additional applications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results
- Knowledge of employee benefits solutions and industry landscape
