Job Summary
Assign employees to daily tasks, manage weekly schedules, and enforce performance appraisals to achieve sales and profit goals. Monitor receiving and unloading for accurate billing and quality, control inventory to maximize turnover, and determine product placement based on consumer demand. Create produce tags in the computer system, maintain sanitation standards, and sample products to customers while ensuring optimal freshness and rotation. This full-time role requires an 8-hour shift with physical demands including lifting 50 pounds and working in cold temperatures. - Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must regularly lift, carry, and maneuver bulk produce items and supplies from floor level to waist/chest height independently
- Must be able to forcefully push and pull fully loaded produce carts and jacks across the department floor
- Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching into deep display cases, bottom shelves, and walk-in refrigerators
- Must have the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to safely operate department tools and handle delicate produce products
- Frequent exposure to cold temperatures from walk-in coolers and refrigerated display cases
- Must be able to prioritize work and handle multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet daily stocking, rotation, and customer service needs
