Job Summary
Maintain product levels and quality control in produce and floral departments by stocking display racks, tables, and shelves while rotating dated items and discarding unsold product. Operate a pallet jack to unload trucks and reload return items, ensuring proper safety measures when handling sharp tools and heavy objects up to 75 lbs. Inspect all produce for quality, collect trash into bailers, and assist customers with price checks or product location. Promote sales through suggestive selling initiatives while providing friendly service by greeting shoppers and addressing complaints. Keep the work environment clean, safe, and sanitary by adhering to food safety standards and company procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Food Handler certification
- Ability to operate manual or electric pallet jack
- Ability to safely operate and maintain department equipment
- Ability to handle objects carefully to avoid damage to items, people, vehicles, and property
- Ability to safely work with sharp objects such as knives, box cutters, etc.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes using a variety of educational resources
- Must be able to attend work
