Job Summary
Maintain full stock conditions on produce and floral display racks, tables, and shelves while operating a pallet jack to unload trucks and reload return items. Inspect product for quality, rotate dated stock, and discard unsold items to ensure food safety standards. Greet customers, answer price check questions, and promote sales through suggestive selling initiatives. Clean, assemble, and prepare equipment, collecting trash and maintaining a sanitary environment. Requires Food Handler certification, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Food Handler certification
- Ability to operate manual or electric pallet jack
- Ability to safely operate and maintain department equipment
- Ability to handle objects carefully to avoid damage to items, people, vehicles, and property
- Ability to safely work with sharp objects such as knives, box cutters, etc.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes using a variety of educational resources
- Must be able to attend work
