Job Summary
Stock and maintain the produce department by unpacking merchandise, trimming items, and ensuring fresh displays meet customer demands. Greet customers, answer inquiries, and resolve special requests such as filling fruit basket orders while handling spoiled product according to policy. Rotate stock to ensure freshness, verify proper pricing and signage, and maintain salad bars and cut fruit stations. Complete product logs, follow sanitation schedules to meet health and OSHA standards, and dispose of trash properly. Assist with receiving, unloading, and storing deliveries using power or hand jacks if trained, and help minimize shrink by reporting shortages and overages. Cooperate with co-workers to ensure smooth department operations.
Required Qualifications
- Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
