Keep produce department well stocked and appealing by unpacking cartons, trimming merchandise, and rotating stock to ensure freshness. Greet customers, answer questions, handle special requests like fruit basket orders, and resolve concerns promptly. Maintain salad bars, cut fruit, and vegetable displays while ensuring proper pricing and signage. Complete product logs, manage spoiled or damaged items per policy, and follow sanitation schedules to meet health and OSHA requirements. Dispose of trash properly and assist with receiving, unloading, and storing deliveries using power or hand jacks if trained. Cooperate with co-workers and superiors to ensure smooth department function.
