Job Summary
Stock and maintain the produce department by unpacking crates, trimming merchandise, and ensuring all items are in saleable condition with correct pricing. Greet customers, answer inquiries, and handle special requests like fruit basket orders while resolving concerns professionally. Rotate stock to ensure freshness, maintain the salad bar and cut fruit displays, and complete necessary product logs. Perform general sanitation, follow cleaning schedules to meet health and OSHA requirements, and properly dispose of trash. Handle spoiled or damaged product according to policy and report shortages or overages to the manager. Assist with receiving deliveries, operating power jacks if trained, and minimizing shrink. Cooperate with co-workers and superiors to ensure smooth department function.
Required Qualifications
- Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
