Produce Sales Associate

Keep the produce department stocked, appealing, and fresh by unpacking merchandise, trimming produce, rotating stock, and maintaining proper signage. Greet customers, answer questions, fulfill special orders like fruit baskets, and resolve concerns promptly while ensuring all products are in saleable condition. Maintain the salad bar, cut fruit, and vegetable sections, build attractive displays, and complete necessary product logs. Follow cleaning schedules and OSHA guidelines to ensure work areas, equipment, and counters meet health standards. Handle spoiled or damaged items according to policy, minimize shrink, report shortages, and assist with receiving deliveries using power or hand jacks if trained. Cooperate with co-workers and superiors to ensure smooth department operations.
