Job Summary
Trim, wrap, and merchandise raw produce while ensuring exemplary customer service. Order product for optimum sales and minimum shrink, then schedule and supervise team members within the department. Rework display cases to assess daily needs, rotate stock, and determine merchandising plans to optimize quantities. Trim, soak, and prepare product for display, perform mark downs and culling to minimize shrink, and clean and sanitize the area throughout the day. Comply with health code standards, including sanitation and temperature maintenance, while assisting with front-end duties and other departments as necessary. Full-time evening, weekend, and holiday shifts required.
Required Qualifications
- Food Handling Certification as required by local government
- Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- Ability to speak and receive phone communications
- Strength, dexterity, coordination and visual acuity to use keyboard and video display terminal and other office equipment
- Ability to continuously stand, walk, reach at/below shoulders
- Ability to frequently lift/carry up to 50 pounds below waist
- Ability to frequently lift/carry up to 50 pounds at waist/chest
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years of produce experience
