Job Summary
Lead day-to-day department operations in a retail store, ensuring associates are trained, the team is fully staffed, and all company goals and key performance indicators are met. Order and maintain inventory while validating received orders for amount, quality, count, and condition, ensuring proper storage and product freshness. Manage a team to complete stocking, production, and additional tasks, maintaining date-sensitive rotation and handling spoiled products per guidelines. Implement work schedules, labor control, and payroll expenses, and communicate weekly Flight Plans to meet expectations. Monitor department goals and forecasts, attend daily huddles and meetings, and uphold food safety and store standards. Maintain a clean, well-stocked department using Prime Time standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate (Required) or Equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Ability to work in a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures)
- Ability to be exposed to outside weather conditions
- Ability to tolerate a noise level in the work environment that is usually low to moderate
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of retail experience preferred
- One-year supervisory experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills
- Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills
- Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment
- Good strategic planning and business acumen skills
- Good knowledge of retail store operations
- Knowledge of retail management systems
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate in Spanish
