Job Summary
Order and maintain department inventory while validating received orders for quantity, quality, and condition. Manage team staffing, training, and performance to execute stocking, production, and date-sensitive rotation plans. Implement work schedules, labor control, and payroll expenses to meet forecasted guidelines and key performance indicators. Develop and monitor department goals and forecasts while ensuring food safety and store standards are followed. Attend daily huddles and meetings to communicate flight plans and company expectations. Maintain a clean, well-stocked department using Prime Time standards. High School Graduate required; two years retail and one year supervisory experience preferred. Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Spanish communication highly desirable. Located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate (Required) or Equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Required to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- May bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Subject to a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures)
- Exposed to outside weather conditions
- Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of retail experience preferred
- One-year supervisory experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills
- Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills
- Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment
- Good strategic planning and business acumen skills
- Good knowledge of retail store operations; knowledge of retail management systems
- Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate in Spanish is highly desirable
