Job Summary
The Produce Manager is responsible for managing all functions and activities of the Produce Department to meet sales and profit goals. Key responsibilities include following merchandising plans, managing inventory, controlling expenses, training staff, ensuring quality and freshness of products, and maintaining compliance with health regulations. Candidates must have at least a high school education, strong analytical skills, communication abilities, and two years of experience in produce management.
Required Qualifications
- High school education
- Ability to read and write
- At least two years’ experience as a produce clerk
- Dexterity in hands for trimming and packaging
- Ability to lift up to fifty pounds
- Ability to stand for most of the scheduled work shift
