Job Summary
As a Produce Manager, you will direct and manage all operations of the Produce Department to achieve sales and profit goals. Responsibilities include following merchandising plans, managing inventory, ensuring product quality and rotation, training and supervising department personnel, and maintaining compliance with safety and sanitation regulations. Effective communication and analytical skills are essential for monitoring department profitability and controlling shrinkage. A high school diploma and at least two years of experience in a produce role are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school education
- At least two years’ experience as a produce clerk
- Ability to read and write
- Above average analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Dexterity in hands for trimming and packaging produce
- Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
- Ability to stand for most of the scheduled work shift
